I have been burning and converting movies for many years now but I am actually pretty new to the HD method of movie files like mkv. I was wondering what applications you guys are using to convert mkv files to say avi so you can convert that avi to dvd format. Or is there a application to convert MKV to a suitable dvd format for a dual layered dvd? Please let me know I am curious, I used to use TMPGEnc a lot and started using an application called dvd flick to convert them to a high quality dvd format.

Thanks in advance,

Luke

DVD Flick handles MKV. Load it up and in Settings choose DVD DL 7.9GB.

I didn't realize that DVD Flick did support mkv's, see I hadn't really downloaded much mkv's yet but this is nice to know. I will also try out that other application.

Thanks
