Ok I've converted my MKV file to a m2ts file so it would work on my ps3 and I've done everything correctly and no errors came up after the conversion, but it says my SD card is full and won't let me copy the file ...I have 7gb left on my SD card and 9gb on my psp so their not full. I thought it was my reader, so i tried another reader and my psp and it did the same...it will let me copy other files, but not this file...whats causing this? thanks

How big is the file? If it's over 4GB, it won't fit onto the flash drives. What you can do is split the file into two chunks using tsMuxer's split and cut feature.

...but that's assuming you used tsMuxer in the first place. What are you using to convert it?

Hm... I'm not sure, exactly. Did you do one of the following?

1.) Create a folder in the root of your flash drive called "PS3". Create a folder within that called "VIDEO". Put your video in there, and the PS3 should read it.

2.) The easier way, at least for me, which is to simply press Triangle when you navigate to your flash drive and click on "Display All". You should be able to find your .m2ts file that way.

3.) Number 1 never worked for me, so one thing I noticed by accident was that if I renamed the actual drive (ie the flash drive) to "PS3" and put the "VIDEO" folder in the root of the drive, I could stick my movies into the VIDEO folder and I could just click on the flash drive and access the videos. I'm not sure what you have to do, rename the flash drive or create the VIDEO folder in the root, but just something to think about.

Anyway, if none of those work, then... I dunno. If it's an .m2ts file, the PS3 should at least see it.

No, that just means that the audio is unsupported by the PS3. I'm guessing it's a DTS track. You'll have to convert it from DTS to AC3 using something like eac3to or MeGUI's audio encoder.

It could also be an AAC track, which never seems to work for me, even though the PS3 can play AAC audio. Usually, I just do the same thing and convert it to AC3.

You need a GUI. eac3to is just a command-line program, so you need a GUI to actually create the command prompt that gets input into it.

Anyway, some downloads of eac3to have a GUI packed with it. (One from Sourceforge, I believe, has Eac3to and More GUI.) You can also find some GUIs by just googling around.

And to answer your previous question about the DTS Decoder, I guess you have to get that from an official Arcsoft product. You can probably get one of their free trial programs, get the DTS decoder DLL or whatever it is and copy it to wherever you want, and you'll be good.

...hopefully.

Well, since eac3to is a free program, if you ever pay for a GUI for it, then you've bee ripped off.

Honestly, I don't use eac3to much (I just download it, use it, then discard it whenever I need to do any audio encoding that MeGUI can't handle), but I've always used Eac3to and More GUI, mainly because it comes packaged with eac3to.

If you're looking for ease of use, though, I just found this one out that might work for you: http://www.afterdawn.com/software/audio_...ion_utility.cfm

And if I'm right, there's also an eac3toGUI out there somewhere.

That doesn't work because it's specifically for audio files, and my file is a m2ts video file with dts audio. Thank you for your help though, i'll look around and try to find one :)

Oh, duh, me. What you need to do first is take the audio out of your .m2ts file. You can use tsMuxer to do this. Load your .m2ts file, and choose the "Demux" option on the far right side (where the "TS Muxing" and "M2TS Muxing" options are).

What you should get are two files, one video and one audio. Load the audio into eac3to.

EDIT:

And then when you're done converting the audio, simply remux everything back into an .m2ts file with tsMuxer. Load your original .m2ts file, load your converted audio file, and you should see three tracks:

Video
DTS Audio
AC3 Audio

Make sure only the video and AC3 audio tracks are selected, and you can mux it to .m2ts like normal.

EDIT

Worked perfect, and good sound quality
