it says method 1 updates all ios's, so can i still install wads and also play games.

are you in 3.2 or 3.4?

Either way should be fine (I prefer to used method 1), make sure you have at least 300 blocks free, make sure you have the cios ver8 then install ios60 base on his post.
Next upgrade. Spoke to this guy online chat.He was helping other guys realtime. I will try mine later. If you don't like it you can still go back.

for trucha signed used method 2 and used Waninkoko's 4.0 updater, this does not download new IOS and retains old IOS.

If you used method 1, you have to used the IOS downgrader after upgrading to 4.0 to get back to the old IOS (for trucha). So both end up the same.

oh i forgot to update this i found out i only have ciso rev7 so i updated it to rev 8 installed iso60 with patch and did the update and everything works fine and the games on the sd card works too.

Hi relax

are u saying that i should update to 4.0 after i have done rev8 and not bother about rev 9?

or that i can do rev 9 before or after upgrade to 4.0 - but rev 8 is the important one?

either way as long as you have cIOS before upgrade you will be fine. they are all using the same file just adding more feature.
then you can patch after 4.0.

Waninkoko's "Firmware Updater 4.0" worked great for me. This update is the best, wads work great just ne careful read all of the tutorials
The USB loader works great to
