so I got a sealed 16gb (looked legit) sony memory stick pro duo Mark 2 from ebay.I got it today and spent 30 minutes filling it.I opened it,formated it in the psp on most current custom firmware( 5.00 m33-6)
For some reason only 4 backup games showed up.All the music showed up but takes forever to load and they all say 0 tracks.I put several movies and tv episodes that work fine on my 4gb into video and they all show as corrupt? I really confused because I bought an 8gb same brand from another ebay guy a ffew weeks ago and had same problem but he refunded and I tried this one? WTF?

You got taken in like I was. I saw the same deal (was it a seller called demontrae?) so I ordered one as well. I got it fairly quickly so when i did I went ahead and formatted it using the PSP. It was weird because it read the card at exactly 15gb, which to me did not sound right. So I loaded a few CSO's, some homebrew, a movie and about two cds. All the CSOs came up as corrupted file, the NES and SNES worked fine, movie skipped a lot and the cds sounded really bad.
I remember reading somewhere online I needed to reformat with PC first, then reformat on PSP to fix this "problem". I did so but after the PSP format it read as 4GB now. So I was sold a modified 4gb card and made to look like 16gb. I complained about it, sent it back, no word from the guy since, matter of fact he longer is on Ebay (what a coincidence?). I reported him to Ebay and Paypal and they are now looking into the matter. I suggest you do the same since you did not get what you paid for, hopefull you can recover what you paid for it

Well no worries, just report the guy as I mentioned. He must have a case going against him other than my self since i just received an email indicating i am getting my money refunded. I should be getting a refund soon as Pay Pal ruled in my favor. Like I said, this guy must of been passing a few of them around of these phony cards and I guess he has been caught up
