ps1p on a psp 1000 5.00M33-6 is it doable?

I have a PSP 1000 with CFW 5.00M33-6 and want to run PSX games I know you need an emulator maybe ps1p and you need the rom file and you have to extract ps1p to a file on the psp and put the game files somewhere on there just don't know where or if im missing anything.

please help me

Actually you dont need an emulator go to PSPISO.com and create an account on the forums and download EBOOT games. then just put the eboot in its folder straight into your GAME folder that is inside your PSP folder on your MS and boom ps1 games on your psp bro. I have a psp 1003 with 5.00m33-6 and have about 20 I have played on my psp all with no problems everything from ff7 ff8 silent hill tekkens, etc. its pretty neat.

thanks, what do you mean put the EBOOT in its folder, what is the folder name? and then i put the eboot in the folder "named" into the game folder in the psp folder? is that right

What carlpsp means by put it into its folder is put the eboot of say ff7 for example onto your MS into x:\psp\game\ff7 (where x is the letter of your psp on the pc)

ok did that and no icon under games, does it make a difference if my memory is photofast cr-5400 with 2 8gb micro sd cards in it?

Exactly thanks goth1k, all the eboot ive gotten had its own folder so I didnt even think to explain it. As long as it is Magicgate supported there shouldnt be a problem with you mem stick

Okay forgive my incompetence, but I cannot get the PS1 games to work. I put them in \PSP\GAME\MYGAME and the game loads to the PS1 screen and does nothing. I can change the settings by pressing HOME, but can't get the game to start.

What do I do to start the game?

You need popsloader

Some games only start under older loaders (hence popsloader) have a look in this forum and you will see a guide
