I tried about a week ago to burn the game with my burner (that supports DL) on a TEAC DVD+R DL, but it didn't work, even with the "Layer Break" thing.

I then saw that it was suggested to change the booktype to DVD-ROM for increased compatibility, but my burner didn't support it.

But then I got remembered that another computer I have has a better burner, so I tried to burn it today, also with changing the booktype - and it worked (but I don't really know if it's the booktype which mattered or that the new burner burns on the DL disc better).

But I forgot to set the layer break and I don't know if it has an actual effect and if I should reburn it.
From the few I've played it seems to work, but will it matter when it'd get to the part where it switches the layers? Or that if it works now it should work later as well and it doesn't really matter?

Thanks in advance.

unless u have a wiikey, it does matter.
don,t know about the softmods loaders but with modchip, d2ckey and clones do require it to be correctly set

But what does "require" mean?

I have the Twilight-Hack, so let's say that if it requires it like the WiiKey, what does it do? As I said, it seems to read it, but it will get stuck on the layer switching?

I don't know, I've already clearly said that it works, and so far I've played a few levels and it seems fine (I didn't play the whole intro, though. But as it works fine after skipping it, I guess that it should work fine after a full playback as well).

I just said that I don't know how it would react when it needs to switch the layer, as the original game had, as far as I guess, a specific file-splitting point, and I don't know if it really matters.

But someone else also said somewhere to use that layer-break (but again, I think that people can't read and don't see that I've already said that it works and plays), so I made a new burn and used that disc.

I've already thrown the first disc, so I hope that it won't actually INTRODUCE errors after using the new layer break.

Yeah, this game was a pain to burn in imgburn (only game ever!)

CloneDVD works for this game, try that.

Again, I said that IT WORKS.

I've just asked what does the layer break matter for, and if it's about the actual playability or only for the part where the drive needs to change over to the second layer (which I couldn't tell right after playing because even if it worked, I didn't know what will it do when changing the layer later on).
