You need the homebrew channel installed with the application MPlayer you will find tutorials on how to do this in the forum ;)

Great question.....I was wondering the same thing. I have 3.4U, the TW hack and the homebrew channel. I have tried putting the MPlayer in the apps of my sd card and nothing.....I doesnt work for me. I think im doing something wrong.

well do you have the homebrew browser? if so, you can just download LOTS of homebrew apps, strait from your wii TO your wii. pretty easy and convinient. (on side note, how long until i get my newbie lifted?)

guys, DVD player functionality on Wii is not that mature yet, so slow in loading. read speed is still at 3X, Currently even nintendo does not support yet.

For you to play DVD you still need another apps (DVDx). Also why bother to watch movie on Wii? spend $20.00 on stand alone rather than spending $100.00 when the Wii drive breaks.
