Hello I have recently purchased a xbox 360 that has been modded but I want to update firmware to ixtreme 1.5.1.
I have read tutorials and see it has to be done in dos, I tried with usb stick but pc cant boot from that so I burnt dos cd.
I turn on pc and dos loads, click yes for personal usage, type C: ie my drive, type cd iprep and now I am stuck.
What do I do now?
Any help would be very much appreciated

well you dont have to use dos you can use jungleflasher and do it in windows. but from dos first you would have to type: dsam 1234567 12345 follow instructions on screen. make sure to always have drive on before continuing. once all this is done you will be back at a dos prompt type fsam 1234567 12345 again just follow on screen instructions and make sure to turn drive back on each time before continuing.

I tried jungleflasher it just frooze at the beginning.
Those numbers after dsam do I have to replace them with my 360 serial number which is on a sticker on the back of white plastic casing of 360.
Will this dump old firmware and put new 1.5.1 on then?
I dont understand when you say turn the drive on every time before continuing.

in dos it will tell you to turn the drive off several times just make sure to turn it back on before continuing. yes you can use your serial number. just put the space in after the first 7 numbers.
