I need help with ulaunchelf and downloading gamesaves

ok so I saw a page on here through google on how to download gamesaves and the instructions said somethign about buringing ulaunchelf to a cd-r so I did that and I put the disc in my ps2 and I get a screen telling me to insert a ps2 disc and what went wrong and if I'm correct all I need to download gamesaves are the following:flash drive,ps2 save builder and ulaunchelf and do i have to chanegt he format of the saves from gamefaqs

The tutorial is correct, but do you have a way to boot burned CD's on your PS2.

But you need to have your ps2 modded in some manner first.
