I used Sleepy Hollow, which is 7.69 GB, and swapped it out with Prince of Persia. Before I swapped it, with the movie in, I got the magic number, saved layout, edited layout, swapped game in, opened layout, and dumped.

Everything seemed to be going fine, until it got to the second video partition (1783936, the second one). There, I got this error.

"Error @ 0 : The wrong diskette is in the drive.
Insert %2 (Volume Serial Number: %3) into drive %1."

Can anyone explain what this means or how I might go about fixing it? I've found almost zero other people with this problem and no helpful suggestions so far.

Mmmhmm.

swapping the dvd with the game and then get the layout from the game not the movie and then edit the first 3 lines in the layout to be D as the first letter of the line. Some tuts do say to get layout from the movie but with my drive that didnt work and doing the other way worked.

So you suggest I take my magic number from my game, not the DVD. Also, this is what you suggest it should look like, correct? I knew you do the 2nd and 3rd line as dummy, didn't know about the first though. The first isn't important?

Well I get to the same point using the first suggestion. It gets to the second video partition and says Wrong Diskette.

I'll try your method too, but I think it's not just what I'm copying. Maybe it's the drive I'm using? What kind of drive do you have to have?

Mmmhmm.

should work with a dvd rom that reads dual layer. you can also try using a different movie to hotswap with. I had to try a few before i found one that worked. I ended up settling on Chronicles of narnia

Is there a way to verify that the drive reads DL? The one I'm using is pretty hold, since I didn't wanna bust open an actual good new drive. I tried the emergency eject method and got a different error message on a different drive too, not worried about that much though.

I have a drive that for sure would work, external, but I can't find the emergency eject button on it. It's a Sony drx-820u. The only holes I can find that look like they could be it are 2 on the back bottom left and the back bottom right. Also, another drive I used seems to use power during the emergency eject which is strange, it's doing essentially what would be done if I just hit the eject button. So, my questions have expanded to this.

1. How can I tell if my drive reads DL.
2. Where might the emergency eject holes be in an external Sony DRX-820u
3. The emergency eject on my new drive has to be held in for a few seconds, then with power it's pushed out. Is there a way to open this drive for hotswap without ripping it apart?

Mmmhmm.

1. look up the drive model online to see what type of media it reads.
2. dont use emergency eject. it is the #1 way to ruin a drive cause it is forcing the gears to push the tray out and it strips them when done too much and then the tray will not open anymore. Thats why its called emergency eject.

I looked and didn't find anywhere that really told me what media it reads, but I found some firmware that's supposed to make it more compatible with DL I think. I tried it but it didn't work still, same error (Wrong diskette). The model number of the drive is xj-hd166s.

Mmmhmm.

I found this page too, I this is just hacked firmware that increases the drive speeds. Could this possibly help?
