I just got a psp from a friend and the firmware on it currently is 3.51 M33. I've been trying to get it to play games like Darkstalkers Chronicles and Final Fantasy Dissidia, but none of those two works. Darkstalkers would stop loading at the game's loading page and FFD just shows a black screen. I can play the older games and PS1 games just fine. Does that mean I have to upgrade the firmware? If so, could someone direct me to a page with detailed instructions?

All you have to do is update your firmware on your psp. Since you already have custom firmware, all you have to do is click the update icon on your psp xmb.

WRONG! the network update for m33 was released on 3.80 m33. if you update with 3.71 m33 or lower, you will go directly to official.

upgrade to 5.00m33 then 5.00m33-6 once this is done switch psp on press select on the m33 vsh menu that now appears set cpu clock speed to 300/150, cpu clock game to 333/166, usb device memory stick, umd/iso mode sonynp9660, iso video mount none, then select exit and now try the games.
