What next after Encoding AVI to MPEG.

I used TMPGEnc Plus to Encode the AVI to MPEG. Now I've been told to use NERO EXPRESS or TMPGEnc DVD Author, in which I have both. I just need to make it a real after market DVD Compliant video. So what next? I can only understand that DVD Author lets you make chapters, and etc., but all I want to do is just burn it the way it is so it will play on a standalone DVD player. So how do I make the MPEG file produce the VOB Files? Will DVD Author make the folder in the destination on the drive or will I need to make the VIDEO_TS, AUDIO_TS Folder? Please help if you go a response on the next step. Thx.

from an AVI format..why dvd...i would choose cd..however. when you processed it form AVI to mpeg, what format did you choose? assumimg you chose dvd..just use tmpge dvd author. it will create everything you need...including the AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS folders.
