Change 5.03 OFW to 5.06 CFW?

I have Piano black PSP 1001 with Sony's 5.03 firmware on it. What is the best firmware to change to, and how do I change it to that version? I am trying to open up the psp's possibilities like homebrew games.

easy answer would be to get a pandora battery, either from a friend that has a phat psp with custom firmware or online for like $7 and then make yourself a magic memory stick for free with say the porgram psp grader and update your psp to 5.00 m33-6
