Cant get into the settings screen

Hi,

I have a modded wii. Everything works great, except when I attempt to go into the wii settings I get the following error:

You tried to access marc:FIX/w/Eng/index.html
which is currently unavailable. Please make sure the web address (URL) is correctly spelled and punctuation then try reloading this page.
Make sure your internet connection is active and check with the other apps that rely on the same connection are working.

I am trying to get into the settings to connect to wifi but that is the message I get when I press the settings button after pressing the wii button on the main screen. If it matters the model no on the bottom of my wii is RVL-001USA. I dont remember attempting to get into the setting screen before modding my wii.

Dumb question: Do all the wiis have built in wifi or do I have to buy a usb wifi device? (I don't currently have one connected)

Any help is appreciated!
