I am running homebrew channel and use this to run Wadmanager1.3 off my SD card.

I have successfully loaded a couple of games like World Of Goo and a couple more games.

Now suddenly, i install a few more WADs and they show up as a Channel with the title screen animation etc.

I click the channel and i get the "Wii Menu" and "Start" buttons screen that most games have.

WHen i click start though i am getting a "This channel can't be used" message on a black screen and at this point i need to reboot.

As i said i have numerous channels that work. Also, some new wad channels i have installed AFTER this problem still work but others dont.

Is this a prob from when i first installed a couple of wads and then deleted the channel via the wii menu (instead of uninstalling with Wadmanager?

Something about tickets being left??

Any help would be much appreciated.

Tony

Wow really - y would ppl create wads with a region code?

OK sry just figured some stuff...

U load the channels of the card via the wii menu sd card icon.

I loaded a game that didnt work - it allowed the transfer but again says cant play it - so u must be right about region coding.

I assume there is no regionfrii for wads?

OK first game i tried - Family Table Tennis wad or something did NOT work - loaded then on start gave black screen......BUT...

Eureka! Midnight Pool which did NOT work originally, DID work after using "Free The Wads"

Either the Table Tennis game was a dud download (unlikely as it did appear as an animated channel and allow pressing of the start button)or as with other apps its trial and error/ hit and miss.

SOme work and some dont it seems.

Hope this is of interest

I've got 3 games so far that I'm having troubles with (after using "Free the WADs"):

Kirby's Adventure (NES)
Streets of Rage (Mega Drive/Genesis)
Street Fighter 2 'TURBO (SNES)

I select the channels, and this happens: Black screen, frozen Wii...

Anybody got any ideas on how to fix this problem?

Having the exact same problem with a lot of download content (DLC) wads. They install with wadmanager 1.4 just fine. Channel shows up fine too after they're installed. However, when I load the channel, it's just a black screen and the wii remote is unresponsive. After that all I can do is hard reset the console.

Some DLC wads work, but most don't. Is this because the wad's are bad or what? I'm running a 4.1u softmodded wii with cIOS38_rev13a and wadmanager 1.4 for the installs. Wads were obtained from wii****wii.

I also made sure to run them all through "freethewads" to change them to region 1 "NTSC 4.1u" and have all of the preloader region hacks enabled too so I'm pretty sure it's not a region issue.
