well..

i've been having problems playing some videos on my DVD cause of their high resolution ( 856 x 480 ).

i tried to change their resolution (using winavi, mencoder, virtualdub, etc...) to something compatible with my DVD... but i was never successful. i always lose video/sound quality...

im using Gspot to provide the following file details:

File format: .Avi
Codec: H.264/MPEG-4 AVC
Resolution: 856 x 480
Frames/s: 23.976
901 Kbps

What program should i use to resize video without losing quality?

any kind of help its welcome...

thanks in advance ;)

Don't know but AlltoAvi may, it has an option to unlock and set Aspect Ratio and quality setting's for audio and video: http://alltoavi.sourceforge.net/ Redone a couple and quality seemed as it was.

What aspect ratio are you going for? There are a few other ways that I know of, but they're a bit complicated and involve more steps, so you might want to try out mistycat's suggestion, first.

oh.. dude.. it worked!

sometimes some bad pixels appear... noticed them like 5 seconds (all aperances together) during a 23min episode... thats not bad... maybe i'll try to restart my PC and give AlltoAvi High Priority on Task Manager and encode again. That must solve it i think :)

thanks A LOT ;)
