Xbox backup creator Security Sector trouble

Hey guys,

I recently got setup to be backing up my xbox 360 games and have successfully backed up almost all of them.
Some, however do not work for no apparent reason. I am using the samsung SH-D162D with kreon firmware 1.00 and xbox backup creator 2.80 Build:0275.

However the computer i am using is a toshiba laptop so i have to use an external hard drive enclosure that connects to the computer via usb.

I was able to backup about 8 of my games without any trouble, just inserting the disc into my drive and clicking start, even with SH-D162C as the selected drive in options, they still work perfectly.

However, the odd game gets to 3.39% completed and gives me the invalid security sector error. Even when i change the driver settings under options to SH-D162D, DVD-ROM or any of the other drivers, it doesnt work.

I have been checking through forums and everything, and alot of people having been saying its due to the IDE connections or what not but im not too sure if this will apply to my external enclosure.

If anyone could give me any advice what so ever it would be greatly appreciated. These forums are renowned for being extremely helpful and i would really appreciate any help.

I had the same problem with my samsung SH-D162D for days until i tried ejecting the DVD tray at 3.39 and inserting it again then press ignore on the SS part. I figure it locks up trying to get the security sector section so i just run it through abgx to make its own SS. Try it and see if it works for you. Remember at 3.39 eject then press the same button again then ignore.
