Sorry I have been reading, but I dont't get it all.I have add and I want to flash my drive for the first time, but not my main 360 but ,buy another 360.If i am not relly tech savy, should I just say forget it.I want to but I am scared that I am way over my head.I guess my ? is,is it really hard.I hope not,I am not a geek as you all put it,just don't undeerstand everthing your saying. And no there in not anybody in dreary Erie that can help me. Sorry again
The only way to learn how to flash a drive is to flash a drive. I've never done any before, decided to wing it and try my first one, and I've done 10 since (twice, 1.41 to 1.51) and have never bricked a drive. The hardest part is taking apart the case.
As a first timer I wouldn't start with a virgin lite-on especially because you need some more stuff than normal for the first time on that drive (second flash is easier) but with every other drive I would go for it.
I had some limited experience on modding a console before I flashed my benq (mostly hard-modding), done some PSP stuff, chipped a gamecube, chipped and destroyed an old Xbox one (my first tries sodering, needless to say they didn't go that well). But nothing on an Xbox 360, didn't even watch tutorial videos, I followed a written tutorial. Make sure to get a good tutorial, maybe watch some tutorial videos on youtube, then you should be good to go. Taking the Xbox 360 apart is the hardest part. After that it's piece of cake.
Xbox 360: Slim untouched with a faked 320 GB harddrive for XBL, phat with LT 3.0, played Halo early, so going on live would be an instand ban, also with a faked 320 GB harddrive
PS3: Untouched 160 GB Slim, 60 GB Fat with latest Rogero and 160 GB internal harddrive.
PSVita: hardly ever play it
GameCube: Black with a Viper chip installed. With gameboy player. Trying to get a Wavebird controller.
Yeah, agreed, I started with a Benq, I dunno if I could have started with a lite-on without running into a little bit of trouble. Just make sure your VIA drivers aren't installed....I "bricked" 3 drives, but luckily after uninstalling the via drivers I was easily able to continue the flashing process.
everyone here started out with zero experience. just read as much as you can on the subject, and post questions when they arise. first time might not be 100% smooth but you'll gain knowledge. good luck

true, but it appears that 90% of the people on this forum cant read instructions. if they could then we wouldnt have the first two pages full of questions that two minutes of reading 'flashing for stupid people' or the jungleflasher tut could answer.

ALSO, DO NOT SEND ME MESSAGES ON LIVE REGARDING MODDING CONSOLES, OR HOW I PLAYED A CERTAIN GAME EARLY. I WILL NOT RESPOND. I WILL INSTEAD DELETE YOUR MESSAGE, AND BLOCK ALL COMMUNICATION FROM YOU. JUST SEND ME A PM ON HERE.
