Hi
I reflashed a 1st gen Starview and then successfully rescanned and got all channels working for a friend. I took it to his house and found that it had lost all channels and was getting no signal. Try as I might, it would not work and seems to have "lost its flash".

Does this sound like a hardware fault or have you any ideas please?

if its a starview 1 you must flash it and then download the channels on to it as i had it done yesterday and working perfect.

Do you mean a channel dump?
I found that disconnecting the box caused it to lose all channels.

Never heard of that happening, if you press the sig button are you getting nothing?
Are you sure the cables plugged into the 'cable input' and not the 'aerial input'
Are you sure his area is capable of recieving the channels

Its a new one on me too!!

All cables are correct and the box used to work at his address.I have tried the box on a live line too but no joy!!!!!
