I was trying to send an email today using microsoft office outlook and I was told that my trial period has expired. After thinking WTF is going on I realised that I need to purchase full version from them, thing is I DONT WANT TO is there a way of getting this free or is there another type of software that I can use for 'word' as I can send email through google or yahoo. If I get a new version of 'word' will I need to delete microsofts version?
I know you guys are probably laughing at such a question but when it comes to this stuff Im hopeless, Thank you in advance for any replies.

AFAIK, there's not a laptop or PC around that is bundled with a full blown version of Office.

You're lucky to get a trial version of Office. Most come with Works or something equally worthless.

the one's i've worked on with vista comes with trial version of office that can be made full working by buying activation number. i always uninstall it & put office 2003 on because of compatibility problems.

Never used it. I have used "Star Office" from Sun which was a good replacement.

I still use a copy of Microsoft Office 2000 which was "left behind" when the dot-com company I worked for crashed and burned. It still works so I continue to use it, legally.
