i had just downloaded a torrent file of underworld: rise of the lychans and i want to burn it to a dvd-r so i can watch it on my dvd player is there any programs i need so i can do this or should the file already be ready to burn to a dvd

That said, what did you download? Was the file an .avi file? .mkv? A DVD ISO?

The sad thing is this: i've seen enough of these threads to know what you're trying to say but that does not help everyone who visits here try to help.

1. Please post more descriptively (see the 3rd link in my sig)

2. Most likely the file you downloaded is an .avi so try DvdFlick to convert.

If it is indeed an .avi file as 7th suggested, another good option in addition to DVDFlick is AVStoDVD. Both are free.
