bbc 3 and four dont broadcast till after 7, in the UK scan for them after this, in Ire, they just come on,

Can anyone help: I've a Box Super USB: It keeps losing the EPG every 1-2 days, so I have to download it again each time: the EPG is for 7 days, so why doesn't the Super keep it in its memory?
Secondly, on the Menu -> Channels: the "sort" and "Edit" functions are 'Greyed out', so am unable to use these (Delete, rename, etc are OK): any help with these two problems appreciated.
