Hi,

I am ripping / rebuilding a DVD to get a single VOB (so that I can use MeGUI on the single VOB to convert it into an MP4 to be read using my Media Player) and when I open the rebuilt files it is without audio .... I am sure that it is simply a setting click gone wrong, but which one ?

I find the DVD files on my hard drive using DVDShrink.
When I click on 'play' in the preview screen there is sound and vision (so I know it is there at this point), after clicking 'Backup' and finding the newly created files the sound is gone.

My 'Edit > Preferences' are as follows :

*Preferences
Target DVD Size = DVD-5 (4.7GB)
'not ticked' Hide sudio and sub pictre streams of insignificant size
'ticked' Automatically open VIDEO_TS subfolders
'not ticked' Run analysis and backup in low priority to improve multi tasking

*Preview
'ticked' Enable video and audio preview
Select audit preview mode suitable for your hardware = Stereo
Select DirectX video renderer = System Default Renderer

*Output Files
'ticked' remove macrovision protection
'ticked' remove P-UOPs
'ticked' remove layer break
'not ticked' Split VOB into 1GB size chunks
'not ticked' Logical mapping of enables streams

*Steam Selections
Audio language and coding types = All Languages = AC3 or LPCM
Subpicture language = All languages
'not ticked' Disable all subpicture except menus and forced streams

*File I/O
'not ticked' Enable overlapped I/O
'not ticked' Read 32KB Blocks
'ticked' Check RPC2 drive region code when opening DVD
'ticked' enable burning with Nero
'not ticked' always erase non-empty RW media

I can't see what is wrong - help please

Rip the DVD using DVDFab HD Decrypter - DVD shrink has not been updated for years.
It is still good for shrinking the ripped files (if required).
