I;ve have read through all of these threads and i'm just more and more confused, i made a VCD the other day but tit can only fit about 80 minutes worth of video on the cd, whats the differance of a SVCD, more space? and i'm looking for good, EASY software that will let me burn avi files onto a dvd disk because my avi files are to large for VCD, someone help?

you made a VCD the other day...from a dvd or an AVI? you've got some researching to do, my friend. 80 minutes is all a you can put on a cd in VCD format. in SVCD the bit rate is higher so you can put less on it. bitrate for VCD is 1150...SVCD minimm is 1500..it's better quality. burning AVI files to a dvd? why? for storage? a dvd player will not play AVI files..non i know of. make an iso dvd if for storage.
