Anytime I try to play a video file, whether it be DVD, AVI, Mpeg etc, There is no picture, just a black screen, however I can hear sound.

Can anyone help??

resolution problem? what is the resolution set at on your screen like 640x480?

Whatever the problem was, it seemed to sort itself out when i switched it on this morning.
