My first post here, so I hope that I have followed the rules. Following a search, I am posting this as I have not seen another thread on this topic.
I attempted to make a back up of my purchased DVD, Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist (N&N) using the latest AnyDVD and DVD Shrink.
Compressing the extra features down to 50% allowed for the main movie to be ripped at 100%. (reson: attempting to fit on a standard DVD size ISO back-up)
While I have successfully made back up copies of my other DVD for NAS stortage with no challanges, this DVD, N&N, seems to have challenges.
Specifically, jaggies when large items move quickly.
I expect to see that when overcompressing an item, but not when no compression is applied (100%)
Has anyone seen the same with this film? Suggestions?
Hi and welcome to our humble abode. Thanks for considering the rules, a rare trait it has to be said, and you certainly wouldn't be moaned at for mistakes when you've taken the time out to consider how to post.
As to whether there's a thread on a given movie already, it's only the last year or few that we've adopted a single thread policy for a given movie. It was impossible to help people sufficiently, back when there were many threads for each film.
Anyways, have you tried the obvious, ie does the movie exhibit the same problem when you play the movie files from the PC ?, ie i'm trying to see of the problem is just a bad burn. I see you mentioned saving to NAS type storage but just checking the obvious first...
