I picked up a refurbished PSP. Since there is no instructions, I'd appreciate any general knowledge any PSP owner should have, that I may not be able to discern from just looking at the thing.
It is a PSP Phat, and says it is version 2.71. I also bought a 1GB Memory Stick...and if successful, will upgrade that.
So with this setup, I should be able to hook up my PSP via USB, write some stuff to the memory card, then use the memory card to change the battery into a Pandora battery?
I noticed some people talking about packs of stuff, I guess the CFW and other applications. I'm looking to modify the PSP to play UMD games off the memory card, and maybe a nice NES emulator too.
I'd appreciate someone pointing me in the right direction.
I got HEN w/ DevHook, and was able to downgrade to 1.50, but I'm getting two problems.
First, the image is darker, then when it sits for awhile, it gets brighter. It's like the power saving thing is reversed.
Also, can I just install 3.52 from 1.50, or do I need to create the MMS and Pandora Battery? When I go to make the MSS while in 1.50, I get an error at the step to format the card (which I assume is because I'm erasing DevHook).
I'm so lost! Which firmware should I have that can do the most?
from there i upgraded to 5.00M33 then the add on 5.00M33-6 go into recovery mode and you will then be able to speed up the Memory stick speed for the PSP to reduce game lag
while psp is on press select cpu clock speed should be 300/150, cpu game speed 333/166, usb device memory stick, umdiso mode sonynp9660 now iso and cso files will play full speed when placed in the iso file on the memory stick
