Last week i finished fixing the RROD on my xbox using thermal glue and the x clamp mod. I also then flashed the disk drive. But know when i play games for longer then twenty minutes my xbox takes the liberty of Freezing and telling my to stop playing. I think it could be due to lack of air flow. the fan works fine it just dosent have enough power to cool the xbox down. So im not sure how to fix this. New fan or some other choice.

What makes you think that there is not enough airflow? but ok heres what you can do, save the game to your hard drive and run that and see if it freezes, if it does then it means your 360 itself is having issues still (probably the airflow problem you were talking about, id suggest buying some new fans, buy a new replacement fan for the rear fan and maybe an iner-cooler from team Xecuter) but if it doesnt that means that your DVDdrive is dieing and you will probably need to buy a new DVDdrive to replace that one because it will keep happening and eventually not even play games at all.

I have discovered it only freezes on high graohic games. I.E. GTA IV But it will play lower quality games like fable II. i plan to buy the internal cooler.

Your xbox is freezing because the ram is comming off the board. The intercooler will not fix this problem and i advise against the intercooler.

If you want to fix your xbox google "penny fix", or check any of the other threads i've responded to that have a similar thread title (ie:xbox freezing).

I thank you for the advice on the three penny trick. i just recently did it and it didnt seem to help. i think it has something to do with my GPU because my games "Freak out" and colors randomly shoot across the screen.

My advice to you...

http://www.llamma.com/xbox360/repair/rin...x-clamp_fix.htm
Follow this tutorial

Also while replacing the xclamps make sure to do the penny fix.

After you do both of these fixes you have to overheat the xbox or these fixes will do nothing. If you get a 0020 error or 0010 error you probably have too many pennies. I usually use 1 penny per ram chip with the ms puddy holding them on. Try this first and if you still have problems try 2 pennies per chip.

If you want to try cooling mods check out this thread

When i originally fixed my xbox i used that guide. Now that i think about it i may try to reheat my gpu because it seams like that is overheating before the cpu. i am still looking into getting the inter-cooler fan.

the intercooler fan is junk, get the talismoon fan that replaces the stock internal fans if you're going to invest in cooling. Also cut out the metal mesh behind the fans to almost double the airflow. You wouldn't think that it would be as restrictive as it is but after you cut it out it's like the fans double their airflow at 5v.
