hi , i only started to mod my wii this weekend with twilight princess softmod
iv installed homebrew channel , dvdx , gamecube backup launcher , wii backup launcher, wad manager
so then i installed isos 38 , 53 , 55
and installed a gamma 002 fix with works as a channel
when i use wii backup launcher it says ios 249 in the bottom corner
but would you recomend installing the cios revision 8 ?
what iam now wondering is there anything else that you guys would recomend installing so that most backups work smoothly ? and any other cool apps
also just a quick question on vc games , do i just install the wad via wad manager (but where would the game show to play ?)
I believe cIOS revision 9 is available now. I think its mostly for USB Loader functionality, but it couldn't hurt. Speaking of which, if you have a USB drive with some extra space you're not using, its worth looking into. I haven't used it a whole lot (Wii games are admittedly at the bottom of my priority list), but I've found the loading times to be much faster than off the disk.
When you install a VC/WiiWare game (via WAD Manager, you were right about that), it will be a channel, just like if you got it from the Shop Channel
