when i say my eurovox tx is dead is that there is no life in the box
at all even though there is power going into it. i have the codes but i must have given it a bad flash.
first off are there any lights working or anything like that,second if there are no lights working etc(if you got a three pin plug check the fuse in it)next thing to try if its dead(did the box make any weird noises,like a popping sound when you last had it working)have a sniff of the box around the area where the lead goes in(smell for a burning or burnt smell)you could open it and look around the area where the power lead goes in(see if any thing is burnt out or melted)if there is a little glass fuse in there try changing that(make sure your box is plugged out)i had a look at a friends starview the other day(same problem as yours,but he only has a 2 pin plug and no fuses at all,either inside the box or out,he had a little bottle as i call them(there small cylinder shape and often black)that was melted.(the good thing with having a box with a fuse is if anything blows it will be the fuse,as that is there job, to blow first saving the box,if however there are no fuses the bottles melt,causing a dead box)if you know someone handy with electronics or an electrician they could test the box and tell you which bottle or whatever is blown then you could try to get a new bottle and solder it in.good luck.
