Need help with psp snes emulation installation please

sup guys im new to these forums. i have a few questions about the snes emulator installation. first off, im been trying to get info on the net about how to do this but i know i can brick the psp so i wanted to post this thread to make sure im doing it correctly. a little help from someone would be greatly appreciated. first off, i have a fat psp with a 3.93 update. my first question is what is the entire process of getting emulator on the psp. im a little confused on the custom firmware stuff. my second question is, if i go ahead and do this will it prevent me from playing new psp games? and will i ever be able to update my psp regularly if i decide to get the custom firmware on my psp? also what is the best snes emulator? a link to the emulator would be greatly appreciated... i know about the www.qj.net website so im sure thats where i will get my stuff from. any help would be appreciated.

also another question is, with the fat psp do i need to get the custom firmware or do i downgrade to the 1.5 version first?
