I've been using CogSwap to boot my PS2 backups. I'm having some serious issues getting them to load though. After burning the backup ISO file to a SonyDVD+R, I've had no luck in successfully booting them.
4) I put in my TOC disc (in my case, GTA:VC), and the screen reads "PS2 DVD-ROM" with a yellow disc above it
5) I hit X, which turns the disc purple with "Use CogSwap" underneath
6) I use my slide tool to replace my GTA:VC with my backup copy of MS Gundam: Encounters In Space
7) I hit X again
8) The backup DVD+R spins for a second, and the screen never changes from "Use CogSwap"
Now, if I eject and put in my GTA:VC again, CogSwap goes back to being yellow with "PS2 DVD-ROM", so it's not like CogSwap froze.
In addition, I did manage to get ONE backup working. I really don't understand how I got one to work but not the other. They're both on the same media. But aside from this single one, no others are working.
All originals do work though, no issues loading anything besides the backups.
If anyone could guide me in the right direction as to if it's my burning methods, or otherwise, I'd so greatly appreciate it.
However, I just gave up and switched over to FMCB. Much better, quicker, and easier. Haven't had a problem yet. So anyone facing a similar problem, I'd recommend it.
