is there a soft mod u can just download on to a disc and instail it on a xbox 360 and is there a usb that will let u save game saves on to it like a hard drive

hi! i need some help. i bought my xbox 360 in china last may. i know that it is modded beacause i play copied games. i don't know if it is soft moded or hardmoded. when i try to sign in to xbox live they ask to me to make the update. will this update prevent me from playing copied games?
plz anyone reply!

Technically flashing the firmware is a softmod because you are not adding any hardware. No, there is no disc that will install a softmod, cannot save games to HDD or and USB Device, and if you want to flash it (I will say this before you ask) yes, you have to open the 360 and buy some supply/tools to flash it. Depending on what drive you have, tools to flash it can cost from $12 to $70.
I am only being nice once, next time use the search button that all of us have learned to use.

Types like a 4 year old liverpudlean. But yes, there is only one way at the moment to play backed up games on your xbox 360 console, this method includes opening the xbox 360 and connecting the dvd drive to your pc in order to modify the current firmware on its chip. Its not really softmod because your just using hardware thats already there. Its special :)
