Alright I have the drive in mode b and it is recognized in xp as a drive. Where is a guide. Also I have ixtreme 1.51 and I don't see my model number anywhere. The lowest number I see is the ix151-32.bin.

have you downloaded the full ixtreme 1.51 firmware pack?.what model is the drive?ie: 47,79?

Never mind its 59. What do I do once I have the drive in mode b? I know I need to flash to the original firmware, but how do I do that with jungleflash?

have you read the jungleflasher tutorial? it gives you a step by step guide.if your drive is a 59 then check the box mode select and click dump drive.once you have done that click read to source.it will prompt you to save your orig firmware.do this.then click restore to stock.it will prompt you to save again.do this.then click flash ixtreme.it will run the program for you.before you do this have you placed the hitachi firmware pack in th jungle flasher firmware folder.if you have then you can proceed.if you havent then place it in there first.

Sorry I found the tutorial. Now my main problem is the fact that I have it in mode be and recognizable in windows, it just doesn't show the vendor name firmware revisino or reserved. I took it off of mode b and then tried to send the send mode b command and it just shows the loading lines. No dice

been having the same problem until earlier but with a hitachi 78fk.have you tried using your motherboards sata port if you have them?. i have the 6421 via card and for some reason it wouldnt detect my 78fk.popped it onto my main board and it did.my drive did the same with the dots.restart jungle flasher so it recognises your drive again and try dumping the drive and reading to source.thats what i did and it was fine.then just restore to stock and then flash.

Same thing happened to me. I used my onboard sata and JF picked it up instantly. Might want to give that a try.

its strange how one hitachi 78fk is recognised in jf with via card and the other wont unless i use my onboard sata.its just a case of keep on trying until you get it right.
