Well I got a PSP 1001 and wehnever I turn it on it makes this loud noise. The noise is coming from the back of the umd case. I noticed it is the sensor's fault it keeps on moving in and out and side to side. Is there any way to fix this? Would I have to open it? Would it be ok if I just rip the sensor thing out since I play games off the memory stick. Also another question my PSP won't charge when i plug in the charger that came with it. Can I use a wall chrager to charge the Pandora battery?

open up the umd like normal, near the end of the usb covers sides apply pressure and on the side where you put the umds gently pull the umd metal cage from the cover by applying pressure to the sides once released remove the umd cover cover off.

Next remove the 4 screws on the umd drive and gently remove it and cut the ribbon then just put the umd cover back on.
