The PC retailer Systemax, which recently purchased Tiger Direct and CompUSA, is planning to buy the Circuit City name and brand, and is willing to pay up to $6.5 million USD for it. so whats the plan with buying a failed brand name? Is it a brand recognition type thing?

God I hope not considering the crap reputation Circuit City had........why not just come up with an original name and give good service? Wow what a novel idea.

Dumbest thing I've read in a while. LOL They went out of business because they had a bad reputation and bad business model. Why would anyone want to associate with that.

But that's the same thing they did with Compusa and that name was run thru the mud even before it went out of business in 2007.
