is there anyway to stream video high def or not to my ps3 from my laptop through my router my laptop is wireless but the ps3 is hooked up with eithernet cord

Of course. You can use any variety of media servers. WMP11 can stream to the PS3, as can TVersity and especially PS3 Media Server.

If you want to stream HD content, you'll definitely need to connect the two (laptop and PS3) with an ethernet cable.
