problem to, you do not have to coneect to Microsoft, here is how i got around it.

use magic iso to open iso files, open the iso of the game, you should see, $system update on the disc.
open your 360 disc tray, leave it open, now turn it off, put game disc in tray, now turn on your 360, the Microsoft update screen will pop up, press update now, follow the instructions, and DO NOT TURN OF YOR 360. it will update, now you can play H.A,W.X, Wanted: weapons of fate, plus the 20 some odd New Wave 3 games, the update will give you a new dashboard similar to the Wii.

note: update only if you have a hard drive and ixtreme 1.51

i looked on various forums, and i see others have the same problem,
not all situations are the same, there are exceptions, i knew the 1.51 would work, but it didn't,even within this forum, that issue is present.

Man i'm not dissing you, not at all, but i know updating corrected my problem, just looking at the page here, you'll see Arnold88 has the same problem, along with many others, so the problem in there,
maybe it's a drive issuse,i have a BenQ, many be Samsung or Lite-on is different, i can't relly say.

i simply know what corrected my problem

It's not a drive thing I have a BenQ myself and no problems. As far as I understood you you simply didn't have the NXE update before and didn't accept the update when the game asked you to. Then you did a lot of technical nonsense you didn't have to do if you had simply accepted the NXE update in the first place.
