LiteON/4KUS CDR 7s52 - slow burning

having a problem with my writer.

Takes roughly ten mins to burn a single 700mb disc. Will burn at any speed but always takes nearly 10 mins.

Had this problem couple of months ago and flashed firmware to the latest one available and it fixed it. However tried this again and it didnt work this time!!

Thought it might be the aspi drivers. Used a aspi driver checker and it said they were not installed properly. I used force aspi to change the aspi drivers to ver 4.6 (1021). Then checked that they were installed properly using the checker and they were. However, writer still takes 10 mins to burn 1 disc.

I have a Gig off ram in my computer and i know that it is not a page file sizing problem.

Downloaded aspi drivers version 1.7.2.1 from adaptec but dont understand how to install them.

Can somebody please help me. It would be most appreciated.

Sorted installing the latest aspi drivers but still there is no change in the burning time. Still 10 mins plus.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
