I am a new member here .Thanking you in advance. I have an xbox 360. I use it as a media center . I am running xp . I did update to the media center version. I found out it was not necessary as tv versity does the same thing . Anyhow I can run both. The problem I am having is some movies I want to watch are mkv files or ASF files (my Camera puts out asf ) Is there a codec upgrade for the xbox as all I seem to be able to open are AVI files Movies. I have a program that will convert these files but I think the xbox should be able to play them.
Any advise

Wait a sec, are you streaming the videos from your PC to your Xbox? If yes, then you'd need to upgrade your PC codecs, not your Xbox.

PSVita: hardly ever play it
GameCube: Black with a Viper chip installed. With gameboy player. Trying to get a Wavebird controller.

Yes I am streaming videos from pc. These movies play on PC with VLC and Window Media Player. The only thing that plays from streaming on the Xbox are AVI files. Any sugestions.

Just get TVersity it will re-encode the video "on-the-fly". So any format will play on your xbox. its easy and works great. you do need at least a decent pc for the encoding to keep up tho. Ive never had any problems with it.
