Hi folks,

My Sony DAV S550 Home Cinema System has become very erratic during playback and now i think i need to replace it.
Im Looking for feedback on what to replace it with,
My needs will be similar performance in sound, Blueray not an option at the moment as i am still not HD ready (still impressed with my old Sony TV), what i want from the player is compatability with DVD-R backups, MP3 playable, what have you got that you can recommend to me guys.

It's ready to decode Blu ray's HD audio, when you're ready, so it's cheaper in the long run.
Go to Wal Mart and get one of the $30 dvd players, to hold you, until you can go Blu..........
