I need help on runing backups without a modchip or swap magic, i know the fmcb and am using it, but i still have quite a few unpatched dvds, and i don't want to waste dvds again to patch them, i've heard of a method to use cogswap and dvdloader to boot backups without the need of a modchip or SM, so if anyone knows the method please post it. I have already installed FMCB as stated above, have allot of apps, and it wouldn't be a problem puting more stuff on the MC, just need to know witch.
I'm teribly sorry for the bad gramar, i haven't slept since over a day, and this is the best that came out of me at this point, if my requests hasn't been understood i'l post a better explanation tommorrow, until then i wish to have at least a starting point, i've checked a place where something similar has been posted but the links are dead...here's the original: http://www.cdrom-guide.com/forums/showthread.php?t=261743
hope that helps, don't know whether that post refered to what i wanted but the bye bye swap magic got me going, there HAS to be a way to do that, since swap magic uses some sort of method to trick the ps2, there should be a program that does the same, boots before disc starts to spin and then the ps2 thinks it's original.
P.S. Sorry for the long post...seems i was in a chatty sleepy mood, and seems i've made quite a few spellings error, witch i'm too sleepy to corect right now but should be understandable.
Thank you in advance!

You could definitley use cogswap and dvdloader but you would need a way to swap discs ie slide card or fliptop/magic switch

I got a slimlime but that's not the problem... it seems my request was not understood, i DO NOT want a method to play backups by SWAPPING, i got swapmagic witch works perfectly, I DO WANT a method to boot backups directly, without booting another cd/dvd first (like the free mc boot).
The methods you both talk about are with swapping, and bhee the forum's links are dead.
Now again my request but simpler: Is there a way to play backups directly without swapping and/or modchip? A simple answer would be fine like yes or no, so i can stop wasting people's time if there is no way to do it

short answer: no.
long answer: unless you have a industrial disc presser, you'll never play burnt games without a modchip or swapping.
ps2: v7 scph-39001 - independence exploit - hdloader 0.8c - maxtor 300gb hdd
(+[__]%) psp slim ta-085v1: 6.60 PRO B10
wii (powered by bootmii/priiloader): 4.1u - d2x v10beta53-alt (base 56) - configurable usb loader v70r51/devolution r188 - wd scorpio black 7200rpm 320gig w/ ams venus ds2 enclosure
got a whole lot more to list . . .
