Best editor for large DVD or video libraries?

I'd like to start editing custom DVDs from our rather large family DVD library. I've converted all our old family VHS tapes, digital camcorders, etc. to about 100 DVD's. Over the years I've searched for DVD editors that can easily catalog and edit from, say, 500 gigs of video. Nothing exists that can do this! They all require you to rip one DVD at a time and edit that down.

Anybody know of a program that can catalog and edit large mpg or vob libraries??
