Hi, im copying DVD's with DVD shrink then burning the image with nero. They all turn out fine and work perfectly when I watch them with PowerDVD on the PC, but when i watch them on the home DVD player i experience jerky playback and most of the time complete stoppage. This usually happens 3/4 into the movie. I try to jump to the next scene but still nothing. Is it because the home DVD player reads the media in a different way to what a DVD Rom on the PC does?

Hi all, your problem could be due to the way your dvd player expects to see the data on the disc,it may be that the pc program you are using doesnt record the data in exactly the right format for your player.
It may be that you need to acess the dvd players service mode and change a few of the settings but be warned-if you dont know what you are doing you can quite easily upset your dvd player if you get the settings wrong!!!

Maybe its burned onto DVD+R ? Or RW some players might not read those formats also you might have burned on DVD-RAM

Hi
I'm having similar problem.I can play dvd+rw on xbox(not modchipped) but not dvd+r. But can play dvd+r on dvd player but not dvd+rw. Please help as I would like both to play my movie backups on dvd+r disks as much cheaper than dvd+rw disks. (Backups by using DVD43 and dvdshrink and nero).Any help appreciated as I am a real newbie and cant find any info on this anywhere.
