I have a backup of Zelda: Wind Waker burned to a Verbatim DVD-R, which plays almost flawlessly on my softmodded Wii (v. 3.4U (NTSC) via the Twilight hack, with the Gamecube Backup Launcher Xi).
The only problem is it freezes whenever I open the dungeon map. I found an old thread about this (http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/523721), and it seems this only happens with shrunken dumps on a multidisc, but AFAIK my dump isn't shrunken, and it's the only game burned to the DVD.
I would try making my own dump, but unfortunately the disc is too scratched for that, and I don't think my drive supports it. I had to download a backup from the usual place, in the description:
Quote:For this first one, we decided to give you a pure disc dump. But on a GC disc, all the space that's not used is filled with random garbage, which is bad for compression. Any upcoming release from us will have that garbage removed.
The .iso is 1.35 GB, is this the normal size for GCN dumps (non-shrunken)? And does anyone know of any possible solution? I've done a lot of searching, but I can't find anything.
