I am having a little problem, when I copy my DVDs i lend them out and every time I find out that my leader has been copy my DVDs and giving it back to me. Is there a way of putting my own copyright protection or make my own slide to go on to the film or some think to stop them from copying my CD/DVD and for them to know that it is my DVD or CD.please answer me.Thank You
mart1987,
The quick answer is there are programs out there that you can use to encrypt the DVD w/. But instead of spending the $$ on that, if my friends were copying my copy of a copy and I did not want them to then I would just not loan them out.
I make a few slide shows using Ulead Photoshop that came with my burner. I can take the slideshow with audio and put it in Nero Recode 2. Once there, I can add video clips from DVD files I have on my hard drive. I end up with a scene of some sort then my slide show starts.
I don't see why you couldn't do that, just putting a picture or two in front of the entire movie. You could make your own warnings. Fun stuff. I doubt if that would stop them though.
I had the same problem.. I made a fancy smancy DVD photo slideshow with effects of my new neice. Only to find my brother-in-law got his hands on it..Copied it and gave it out to the family claiming he did it..So after that I did exactly what fast frank said. I put a disclaimer with my name in the beginning of all the ones I make now. I know he's too stupid to be able to edit that out.. I would pay for some sorta program that Re-encrypted DVD's.
It's called Memories on TV.. A really neat program. It allows you to make VCD/SVCD/DVDs. You have to buy it to make DVD's though.. It will also use Video clips instead of just photos for the slideshows too.. You can check it out here and see if this is what you are looking for. I bought it.. http://www.picturetotv.com/
That would really piss me off! Burning DVDs is one thing, but those slideshows are quite a bit of work! Getting the music right and picking and moving photos, selecting transitions etc.
The results are so cool though. Once you do one you know why you own a digital camera.
You said it fastfrank.. I'm not talking a 650 meg VCD.. I made a 3.8 gig DVD of all my pictures of the baby since she was born that I didn't want everyone having.. Now everyone has them... As well as my DVD.. Bummer.... take it easy
