the 3rd generation games such as mlb 2k9 with my kreon drive, just wondering before i waste some DL discs on them. I just paid $60 to get my box flashed to 1.51. I'm knew to this so alot of what has been said is in one ear and takes awhile to understand. I only back up my games via the kreon drive so am i going to have to update to 1.6 when released because i hear that is going to deal with kreons. The main games i'm really looking forward to are UFC,NCAA football and Batman arkam asylam. I'm hoping not to have to update again to play some of these, but i do know they won't be released for a month or so.
Not sure what you meant by 1.6. iXtreme 1.6 just adds the ability to rip original games using your 360 drive. You still need to take out the drive though which means opening up your 360...so it's better just to buy a Kreon drive to rip your original games. iXtreme 1.51 will play all of the 3rd wave games.
Wow, a lot to clear up. iXtreme 1.6 adds 0800 support to normal xbox360 drives, like some firmwares already do today. 0800 support allows you to use the original xbox360 drive to rip, but unlike the old 0800 firmwares iXtreme 1.6 is still safe on live. iXtreme 1.6 adds some more features too, they can be read about in the iXtreme 1.51 release thread. But as you said you don't care about live, so 1.51 is ok for you.
To answer your starting question, yes, you can rip wave 3 games with your kreon drive without any problems. There shouldn't be any problems, but you should check that you have the newest Xbox Backup Creator.
Xbox 360: Slim untouched with a faked 320 GB harddrive for XBL, phat with LT 3.0, played Halo early, so going on live would be an instand ban, also with a faked 320 GB harddrive
PS3: Untouched 160 GB Slim, 60 GB Fat with latest Rogero and 160 GB internal harddrive.
PSVita: hardly ever play it
GameCube: Black with a Viper chip installed. With gameboy player. Trying to get a Wavebird controller.

No, 1.6 ixtreme is for xbox 360, but is basically the same as 1.51 except with 1.6 you can use the xbox 360 dvd drive to rip the games. but if you have a kreon drive than you do not need this.
