Is there a way to tell what version cIOS I have installed? I would like to update my backup launcher channel, I don't have Gamma and want it. Using larrylje's guide (http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/735325) it says the following:

"If you have a previous cIOS installed due to an older Backup Launcher version you will need to uninstall it (If you have previously installed cIOS36_rev6, 7, 8 or 9 you do not have to uninstall it) The cIOS36_rev10 will install over it."

Before I do anything stupid, can someone please direct me? Thanks!

You don't remember what cIOS you installed with the backup launcher your using now?

What backup launcher version are you using?

I think AnyTitle Deleter will list what cIOS versions you have installed.

You can also try running the cIOS36_rev10 in my guide. If you used cIOS36_rev6 or above then rev10 will just install over it. If you used cIOS37 then you will just get an error when trying to install cIOS36_rev10.

No, I don't remember what version cIOS I installed. All I remember is a IOS16-64-v257 or v247 or something like that. Is that the cIOS version?

On the WiiGator channel it just says WiiGator 3, nothing about Gamma...

So if I install cIOS36_rev10 and it gives me an error, what is the proper way to uninstall my previous cIOS so I can install the newest cIOS36_rev10?

You probably installed cIOS247 so use Any Title deleter to delete cIOS247.

The cIOS36_rev10 should then install.

Do you know if AnyTitle Deleter works with firmware version 4.00? I followed Larry's guide to mod my wii, with 100% success. Now my next-door neighbour wants me to do his. Problem is it has already been softmodded in some way but lacks the compatibility of my wii. Games that play on mine, won't on his....even the exact same disc. He has got wiigator gamma 0.3 installed, the one with the gbatemp skin (by DJTaz?) Just wondering how to find out what version of cIOS36 he running on to determine the best way of updating his system

If he has cIOS36 installed all you have to do is follow the Wiigator section of the guide. It the newer cIOS36 rev will install over the old cIOS36.
