Help need please.
My lads headset stopped working a couple of nights ago.
I opened the plug up that connects to the controller and the black and white wire has came off the small pcb board.Can someone tell which connections these go .EG W+ W- etc.

If you cannot fix it, and if it is the original, included Xbox Live headset, then you can purchase it off eBay for really cheap. I purchased three for $3.

Sorry that I cannot help you with the connections. I haven't opened the connector part.

I know they are cheap but for a 2 minute soldering job i thought i would have a try and repair the defective headset.
The headset is an original microsoft one.Someone may have a old one and might be able to remove the 2 small screws on the plug and identify the connections for the cables.

i dunno about you but mine was a pain to solder, i got it working, but they dont give you much wire to work with.

True it wasnt easy but in our case the microphone wire had snapped about 1 inch from the plug so i had to make new ends off anyway.I just left wires 20mm to play with.
