Solid red light with wiikey2 w/ V14 WiiClip pre soldered

Hi I bought a Wiikey 2 w/ V14 WiiClip (pre soldered) from Mod Central(D2A chip set). I dissembled the Wil as instructed and clipped on the chip. However all i get is the solid red light.The Wii starts up but tells me to eject the disk and then turn off the console. the drive is unresponsive and wont eject. any help would be appreciated

Things that could be wrong.

WiiClip is not seated properly.

WiiClip and Wiikey 2 is soldered for a different drive chip then what you have.

The IC chip has legs cut from it.

Faulty WiiClip or Wiikey 2.

I am fairly positive that the clip is seated properly and that i choose chipset was to compensate for an ic chip that had its legs cut. I had read that some of the pins on the clip may have been bent/misaligned. How would i see if this is the case and fix it

I would send it back and simply softmod it. Softmod is free and plays all games (mostly) perfect. Especially if you use the usb loader
